Vendors and volunteers needed for Diamond Cup | Business
The Diamond Cup returns to Coeur d'Alene over Labor Day weekend and is sure to be an exciting event. Organizers are still looking for vendors and volunteers to make sure everything runs smoothly.
“I'm trying to bring a wow factor to this event,” explained Chris Visconti, the Vending and Volunteer Coordinator for this year's Diamond Cup.
Visconti is in need of vendors of all varieties to fill space and provide services and entertainment for those visiting. He said that vendors saw great success with the Ironman race in June, and thinks that vendors will be able to repeat that same success at the Diamond Cup.
Currently, 125 people have signed up as volunteers to help out beginning on August 27th. However, Visconti estimates that they still need more than 300 more volunteers to fill positions leading up to race day and throughout the weekend. Volunteers need to 16 years or older and will work a variety of jobs from ticket counters to helping out with the pontoon boats that will be traveling the river from Post Falls to Coeur d'Alene.
If you can't commit to the entire weekend but still want to volunteer, you can sign up in blocks of four, six or eight hours for any of the days. However, volunteers that can commit for the entire weekend are needed. If you volunteer you won't be stuck in one job either, Visconti said they are planning on rotating volunteers through several jobs.
The Coeur d'Alene Diamond Cup takes over the city August 30th through September 1st, with volunteers needed beginning on August 27th. If you're interested in being a vendor click HERE, if you would like to volunteer click HERE.
