Idaho Fire District Gets Big Donation From Silverwood | Business
The Timberlake Fire Protection District received a much needed financial donation from Silverwood Theme Park. The park donated over $22,000 to support the fire district's infrastructure and equipment needs.
“We are very thankful for Silverwood's gift,” said Fire Chief Kevin Kleinworth. “This couldn’t have come at a better time, we are in great need of numerous equipment upgrades.”
SIlverwood made the donation to recoginze the Timberlake Fire Protection District for "diligent service, excellent response and outstanding community involvement."
The Timberlake Fire Protection District is located about 15 miles north of Coeur d'Alene and serves an 83 mile square foot area of Kootenai County. The area encompasses Farragut State Park, the U.S. Navy Acoustic Research Department as well as Silverwood.
There are three stations operated by both career staff and volunteers that respond to both fire and medical calls in the area.
