Coeur d'Alene will Race for the Cure this Sunday | Community Spirit
Coeur d'Alene will be sporting pink on Sunday as the community Races for the Cure at North Idaho College. There's still time to join the Idaho Affiliate of Susan B. Komen in the effort to raise awareness about breast cancer in Idaho.
The Idaho Affiliate uses up to 75 percent of the funds raised through Race for the Cure within Idaho for community breast health programs. Idaho is ranked the lowest in the country for woman over 40 receiving their mammograms. The remaining funds go to the national Susan G. Komen for the Cure Grants Program to fund research.
Teams and individuals can register for the race online through Wednesday, September 18th, registration closes at noon. Late registration will be available at the Packet Pick-Up on Saturday from 10am-2pm and on Sunday from 8am-10am, but the registration fee will increase.
