Kootenai County Deptuy named Boating Educator of the Year | Community Spirit
From the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office:
Earlier this month, Deputy Robert “Bob” Bjelland received the Idaho “Boating Educator of the Year 2014” award from the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation.
This award is given to individuals who excel in promoting boating safety through education. The person receiving this award is nominated by their agency, then past award recipients vote on who should receive it in the State.
Additionally, as a result of receiving the State’s award, Deputy Bjelland has been nominated for the National Association of Boating Law Administrators’ “Western States Boating Educator of the Year” award.
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is very proud of Deputy Bjelland’s achievement. Kootenai County is very fortunate to have such a devoted and dedicated marine educator.
