Kootenai County Sheriff's Office thanks 911 dispatchers | Community Spirit

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank their 911 Center dispatchers for a job well done on the 4th of July.
Throughout the year, the 911 Center receives and dispatches thousands of calls for service. Typically a summer day can produce an average of 350 calls for service, 160 911 calls and 400 non-emergency calls.
This 4th of July, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s 911 Center dispatched 551 calls for service, received 216 911 calls and received 663 non-emergency calls.
Even though one day produced an average of 60% more work for the dispatch center, they handled the extra load flawlessly and ensured the safety of the first responders and citizens alike.
The hard-working staff of the 911 Center are truly an asset to the county and deserve recognition for their service and dedication.
