Hayden Library book sale offers rare, collectible books | Events

Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Friends of the Community Library Network is having a Book Sale on Saturday, May 3, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hayden Library, 8385 N. Government Way.
Stop by and pick up some terrific books Mom will love. There will be a large assortment of coffee table art books, cookbooks, and gardening titles. Teens will appreciate an assortment of Manga, comics originally created in Japan. The popular Man Cave will be back with books selected for masculine interests.
Of special interest is a Rembrandt edition of the Authorized King James Bible. It’s beautifully illustrated, new and leather bound. There is also a selection of collectible books, including A Child’s Garden of Verses by Robert Louis Stevenson from the early 1900s, The Poetical Works of Sir Francis Scott, 1888, and Wild Sports by Gerstaecker, a rare 1960 edition. Also in the sale are first editions by Kurt Vonnegut, Ian Fleming and Ray Bradbury. Montana Mining books, accompanied by folding maps, complete sets of Great Books of the Western World, The Story of Civilization, and others will be offered as well.
