University of Idaho expands CDA course offerings | News
The University of Idaho announced that they will expanding program offerings at the Coeur d'Alene center beginning fall semester. New offerings include a bachelors degree program in English, introductory coursework in virtual technology design and upper division coursework in chemistry.
“Educational opportunity is critical for prosperity in our region,” said Charles Buck, associate vice president and center executive officer for northern Idaho-Coeur d’Alene. “At the northern Idaho center we are taking advantage of technology to access our world-class faculty and provide a more comprehensive list of programs that serve individuals who cannot relocate to Moscow."
The addition of the English program brings the total of bachelor degrees offered at UI Coeur d'Alene to 11, in addition, 11 master degree programs are also available. The new English degree will emphasize literature and will be taught using a combination of in-person, internet and compressed video courses.
The virtual technology design courses will focus on 3-D modeling used in entertainment, education, and health care. The upper division chemistry coursework will look at physical chemistry while exploring kinetic theory, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics and spectroscopy.
