Crane construction will disrupt library accessibility | News
From the Community Library Network:
A huge crane will be placed on the Community Library Network at Hayden’s parking lot Friday, October 4, and Monday, October 7, as work on the Fitness One facility continues.
The south side of the library’s parking lot will be completely blocked off. Flaggers will be in place to direct people to parking areas in the back (west) of the library and the adjacent Prairie Shopping Center lot. The crane will be secured in the library’s west parking lot over the weekend.
The working crane will progress down the parking lot, from east to west, as it places wall sections over the two days. Designed to lift the 58-ton slabs, the crane’s footprint is 40 x 40 square feet, or four times the area of a double garage. The boom pivots off the crane requiring additional clearance.
Community Library Network Director John Hartung said, “We apologize for any inconvenience, but we want to caution people to be safe over the two days.”
